Highly Recommended: "The Power of Positive Words"

"Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing" -Benjamin Franklin (Inventor, Author, Publisher, Diplomat)

In his seminal book, “The secret kingdom”, world-renowned Christian pastor, author, and televangelist Pat Robertson makes a strong case for the use of positive words when he notes: “Through our words, we translate the will of God in the invisible kingdom to the visible situation that confronts us. We speak to storms, and they cease…. The simple truth is that God`s word, spoken into a situation, will perform his purpose… When you confess blessing, favor, victory, and success, those things will come to you.”

Sadly, however, it appears the concept of words and their far-reaching impact as revealed in parts of Scripture have largely been ignored in many pulpits and as such scores of believers know next to nothing about the power inherent in the ‘spoken word’. Hence the recklessness with which many communicate and the dire consequences of doing same becoming their lot. Expressions of negativity, hopelessness and the spewing of ‘unprintable words’ on the airwaves, in homes, schools and workplaces amongst others are increasingly becoming commonplace among the youth and in the Ghanaian society at large. It is therefore refreshing and heart-warming to know that Alex Dankwa addresses this issue head-on in his newly released book of immense value – “The power of positive words”.

Alex Dankwa, author of "Missives to My Daughter" is an entrepreneur, conference speaker and minister of the Gospel. He holds a Bsc. Admin. (Accounting option) from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and is currently pursuing a professional course in Project Management. He is a Project Director for Compassion International assisted-project Child and Youth Development Centre. He has over six years’ experience in Child and Youth Development.

In his book "The Power of Positive Words" which hit the market recently, Alex makes an incisive, logical and coherent case for the efficacy of words and how such a tool of phenomenal influence can be harnessed for good. He masterfully weaves a somewhat air-tight presentation together, drawing heavily from both the Biblical text (quoting widely from the Holy Writ) and practical life experiences. A good case in point is his enlightening and revealing narration of how a couple of words spoken to him several years ago forever altered the course of his life – a life that was once headed for the ditch. This essentially comprises the first chapter of this inspiring piece.

In the remaining chapters which basically includes titles such as, “Words are powerful”, “words don`t die”, “creating your world with words”, “keep your vows” and “men who achieved success with words”, the author projects the immeasurable value of words, particularly for the believer and repeatedly admonishes believers to consistently choose to employ positive words, shunning evil communication. Even more importantly, Dankwa presents practical and down to earth suggestions that will make the reader better placed to make optimal use of positive words - making the Holy Scriptures the raw material with which positive words are formed and released to effect positive outcomes in lives and communities.

"The Power of Positive Words" is worth your read. It promises to impart such a wealth of knowledge and ideas that are both Biblically and practically sound and would make a world of difference in your life, and in the kind of future you create for yourself and for those in your sphere of contact.
This book is highly recommended. A must-have!
