"Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing" -Benjamin Franklin (Inventor, Author, Publisher, Diplomat) In his seminal book, “The secret kingdom”, world-renowned Christian pastor, author, and televangelist Pat Robertson makes a strong case for the use of positive words when he notes: “Through our words, we translate the will of God in the invisible kingdom to the visible situation that confronts us. We speak to storms, and they cease…. The simple truth is that God`s word, spoken into a situation, will perform his purpose… When you confess blessing, favor, victory, and success, those things will come to you.” Sadly, however, it appears the concept of words and their far-reaching impact as revealed in parts of Scripture have largely been ignored in many pulpits and as such scores of believers know next to nothing about the power inherent in the ‘spoken word’. When Life Does Not Make Sense

During much of my teenage years, I had quite a simplistic view of life; one that I presume is akin to that of many teenagers and adults. I held the general view that good things happen to good people and that bad things happen to bad people. One of its variations I thought, was that the serious and hardworking student is the one who eventually lands a good job and does well in life. This outlook on life is expressed in our daily conversions, howbeit in different ways. A teacher sees a truant and wayward student and says: “you will not amount to anything in life”. A parent looks into the eyes of her promiscuous young daughter, and says: “you will not find a good man to marry in future”. Another parent sees his obedient and respectful son, and whispers: “this son of mine will make me proud some day.” Yet another parent looks at his brilliant daughter and says: “she will become a renowned professor in future”.
